About Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing

The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing occupies a restored sixteenth-century haveli in the old town of Amer, a short walk from Amber Fort. It was set up by the founders of the Anokhi textile company and opened in 2005 to record the block-printing traditions of the villages around Jaipur, especially Sanganer and Bagru.

Its galleries show carved wooden blocks, natural dyes and printed textiles, and in the courtyard a block carver and a printer demonstrate their crafts.
