Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans occasionally change. The terms below outline how cancellations and refunds are handled for journeys booked through Tours By Locals India.

Cancellations By You

• 60+ days before departure: full refund of amounts paid, less any non-recoverable third-party deposits.
• 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund of amounts paid.
• Less than 30 days before departure: non-refundable, as most local suppliers require full pre-payment by this point.

Cancellations By Us

In the rare event we must cancel a confirmed journey for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook at a later date.

Force Majeure

Where a journey is disrupted by events beyond either party's reasonable control — natural disasters, government restrictions, civil unrest — we will work with our local partners to recover the maximum possible refund, though some third-party costs may be non-recoverable.

How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days of written confirmation.
