The Sas-Bahu temples stand at Nagda, an early capital of Mewar near Eklingji, north of Udaipur. The pair date from the tenth century and are dedicated to Vishnu.
Both are richly carved, with sculpted pillars, ceilings and friezes of deities, dancers and scenes from the epics, and they stand beside a lake in quiet countryside.
