Garden
Saheliyon Ki Bari
Also known as Sahelion Ki Bari
A graceful garden created for the royal ladies of the court, filled with fountains, marble pavilions and shaded pathways.
About Saheliyon Ki Bari
Saheliyon ki Bari, the 'Courtyard of the Maidens', was laid out in the 18th century by Maharana Sangram Singh II. Tradition says it was made for a princess and the 48 young women who came to the court with her as part of her dowry.
Its fountains are fed by gravity from Fateh Sagar Lake, with no pumps. Between the rain fountain, the shaded lawns and the pavilions, it makes a cool, quiet break from palace sightseeing.
