Gulab Bagh
Also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden
Udaipur's historic rose garden is a spacious green retreat that also houses important cultural and botanical collections.
About Gulab Bagh
Gulab Bagh, the Rose Garden, is Udaipur's largest garden, laid out by Maharana Sajjan Singh in the late nineteenth century and also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden. It's named for the many varieties of rose grown here.
Inside is the Saraswati Bhawan library with its collection of old manuscripts, and a toy train that's popular with children. Shady and spacious, it's where Udaipur comes for a morning walk.
