About Bagore Ki Haveli
Bagore Ki Haveli stands on Gangaur Ghat, on the shore of Lake Pichola. It was built in the eighteenth century by Amar Chand Badwa, a prime minister of Mewar, and later became the home of the Bagore branch of the royal family, which gave it its name.
Restored by the West Zone Cultural Centre, it's now a museum of more than a hundred rooms, with royal costumes, mirror work, wall paintings and a collection of turbans. In the evenings its courtyard hosts the Dharohar folk dance show, an hour of Rajasthani music and dance that ends with the pot-balancing bhavai dance.
