About Kaylana Lake
Kaylana Lake is an artificial lake about 8 kilometres west of Jodhpur, created in 1872 by Pratap Singh on land that once held palaces and gardens. It's still an important source of the city's water.
Ringed by low rocky hills, it's at its best around sunset, when the water turns gold, and in winter migratory birds gather on it.
