About Sisodia Rani Garden
Sisodia Rani Garden was built in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for his queen from the Sisodia dynasty of Udaipur, as a retreat in the hills east of the city on the road to Agra. The marriage carried a famous condition: that her son would inherit the throne of Jaipur.
The garden climbs the hillside in terraces of fountains and water channels to a palace pavilion painted with scenes of Radha and Krishna. It's one of the prettiest of Jaipur's gardens, and Vidyadhar Garden lies close by in the same valley.
