About Ram Niwas Garden
Ram Niwas Garden was laid out in 1868 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, partly as famine-relief work, as a public park just outside the walls of the old city. The Albert Hall Museum stands at its centre, and the Ravindra Manch auditorium is in its grounds.
Its lawns and tree-lined walks are where Jaipur comes to stroll in the morning and evening, and a turn around the garden fits naturally before or after the museum.
