About Guru ka Tal
Guru Ka Tal is a gurudwara at Sikandra, on the Delhi road out of Agra, built beside a Mughal-era tank that once collected rainwater. It honours Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, who is remembered as having offered himself for arrest here in 1675 before being taken to Delhi and executed on Aurangzeb's orders.
The gurudwara itself is modern, built in red sandstone, and like every gurudwara it welcomes visitors of all faiths and serves free meals at its langar.
