About Rajon Ki Baoli
Rajon Ki Baoli is a four-level stepwell in Mehrauli Archaeological Park, built in 1506 by Daulat Khan during the reign of Sikandar Lodi. Its name, 'the masons' stepwell', is said to come from the masons who later lived around it.
Arcaded galleries line its sides as the steps descend, and at the top stand a small mosque and a tomb with traces of carved plaster. It rarely holds much water now, but it's one of the most graceful of Delhi's stepwells and far quieter than Agrasen Ki Baoli.
