About National Research Centre on Camel
The National Research Centre on Camel, just outside Bikaner, is a government institute that studies camel breeding, health and products. Visitors can see several Indian breeds, including the Bikaneri, Jaisalmeri, Kachchhi and Mewari, and watch the herds come back to their pens in the late afternoon.
There's a small museum on the camel's place in desert life and in the army, and a parlour that serves camel-milk tea, ice cream and other products.
