A striking modern memorial complex in Agra known for its elaborate stone and marble craftsmanship and its continuing spiritual significance.

About Soami Bagh Samadhi

Soami Bagh Samadhi is the memorial to Shiv Dayal Singh, known as Soamiji Maharaj, the founder of the Radhasoami faith, who died in 1878. Work on the present white-marble building began in 1904 and is still going on: generations of craftsmen have carved its walls with fruit, flowers and vines in deep relief and inlay.

It's one of the finest pieces of modern stone carving in India, and visitors can often watch the masons at work. It stands in the Radhasoami settlement of Soami Bagh, on the northern side of Agra.
