About Tripolia Gate

Tripolia, the 'triple gate', is the ceremonial entrance to the City Palace from Tripolia Bazaar. Its three arches are topped by a pavilion, and it has traditionally been reserved for the royal family; everyone else enters the palace by the side gates.

The bazaar named after it runs through the old city and is known for brassware, ironware and lac bangles, and Isarlat, the city's tower, rises just behind its shops.
