About Ranthambore Safari — Zones 6-10
Zones 6 to 10 were opened to spread safari traffic over a wider area of the reserve. They cover its outer belt: drier, more open country of grassland, scrub and rocky hills, with fewer vehicles than the core.
Tigers range through these zones too, and some resident animals are seen here regularly, so a drive here is far from second best. Because these zones stay open through the monsoon, they're also the only option between July and September.
