Chandraprabhu Temple
A delicately carved Jain temple within the fort, notable for its fine sandstone workmanship and quiet spiritual atmosphere.
About Chandraprabhu Temple
The Chandraprabhu Temple is one of the group of Jain temples inside Jaisalmer Fort, dedicated to the eighth Tirthankara, Chandraprabhu, and dated to 1509. Its pillared halls and upper gallery are carved in the same honey-coloured sandstone as the fort, with dancers, musicians and deities on almost every surface.
It's usually seen together with the other temples in the group, which open to visitors for limited hours, usually in the morning.
