About Sarnath Thai Temple

The Thai Temple at Sarnath, Wat Thai Sarnath, was built by Thai Buddhists and is known for its giant standing Buddha, about 24 metres tall, carved in sandstone and unveiled in 2011.

The temple itself is in the Thai style, with tiered roofs, and the gardens around the statue are peaceful. It's a short drive from the Dhamek Stupa and is usually seen as part of a visit to Sarnath.
