Khajuraho Archaeological Museum
KhajurahoArchaeological museum
A useful introduction to the temple complex, displaying sculptures and architectural fragments found in and around Khajuraho.
About Khajuraho Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum at Khajuraho, run by the Archaeological Survey of India, stands opposite the Western Group of Temples. It displays sculptures recovered from the temple sites, from Hindu deities and celestial dancers to Jain Tirthankaras.
Seeing the carvings at eye level, rather than high on a temple wall, makes it much easier to appreciate their detail.
